The Kandui Villas is a luxury eco-resort located on the island of Karangmajet, in front of the Kandui and the Baby Kandui left handers, in the middle of the famous Playgrounds surf zone.
With an ocean view and direct access to the beach, the resort has 12 luxurious bungalows built with sustainable techniques and materials. They are decorated in different styles, to do with the local nature and wildlife.
The bungalows are furnished with two king size beds on the ground floor and a king size bed or two singles on the top floor (mezzanine style). They are equipped with a bathroom with hot water, hair dryer, air conditioning, mosquito nets and safe.
Three of the bungalows are connected and, together, can accommodate a small group of friends or a family.
The Kandui Villas have a restaurant, bar, games room, pool, spa, gym and yoga studio, babysitting service, photograph and video service and a small art gallery. The swimming pool area has a satellite television and Wi-Fi. There is cable internet access in the bedrooms.
The privileged location of the resort, right in the centre of the famous Playgrounds surfing zone means you can easily access a variety of waves, some of which are world class.
There are several waves only five minutes from the resort. The Kandui right hander or Rifles with its powerful barrel sections. The Kandui left and its speedy tubes. Baby Kandui, which is perfect for longboarding on small days and, among others, the Playgrounds left and right hander, which is suitable for surfers of all levels of experience.
Surfing tourism tax – Regional law n. 8 of 2015, effective as of August 1st 2016, established that foreign, non-resident surfers must pay a surfing tourism tax of IDR 1,000,000.00 which gives you a surfing permit for a maximum period of two weeks on the Mentawai archipelago.
