Carriage of plates on domestic flights with Maldivian

. Maximum dimensions authorised by the airline for the surfboard bag: 215 x 60 x 25 cm (length x width x thickness)

. An additional fee will be charged at check-in for the transportation of surfboards (indicative value and subject to change without notice):
Bag 215 x 60 x 10 cm: 70 USD + local taxes per flight
Bag 215 x 60 x 25 cm: 140 USD + local taxes per flight

. The weight of the surfboard bag will be included in the baggage allowance of 20 kg. If this limit is exceeded, in addition to the fee for the carriage of the plates, an additional fee of 3,11 USD will be charged for each extra kilo, plus local taxes (indicative value and subject to change without notice)

. Prior notification of the exact measurements of the bag of plates to the airline is mandatory. The provision of incorrect information implies the charge of an additional fee of 100 USD, plus local taxes (indicative value and subject to change without notice)

. The number of surfboard bags allowed on board each flight is limited, and transportation is always subject to confirmation at check-in. Bags that cannot be carried with passengers will be sent on the next available flight. On return, the surfboard bag can be sent on an earlier flight to ensure your arrival in Malé on time of check-in for the international flight

Surf Pass (Intermediate and Advanced level)

. The daily surf pass allows surfers to participate in any of the surf transfers organized daily by the resort

. The resort guarantees, at least, 2 surf transfers per day, chosen based on the level of the surfers, the wind, tide and wave forecast, in order to maximize the ideal conditions and the quality of the surf breaks

. Surfers will be accompanied by an experienced surf guide and will have the opportunity to explore a variety of waves in the vicinity of the resort

. The choice of surf spots and transfer schedules are defined daily by the Surf Manager of the resort, according to weather conditions

. The value of unused surf passes will not be refunded

The programs include flights with Etihad Airways in economy class, on the E fare. When the E fare is not available, supplements will be applied according to the availability of flights.

An air fare supplement will be applied to the prices presented in July and August.

All programs presented include “Takeoff Surf” insurance against personal accidents and travel assistance, with capitals and coverage for accidents resulting from surfing.

However, taking into account the type of trip and destinations, we recommend the “Takeoff Surf VIP” insurance (available as an optional supplement), which offers higher capitals for assistance abroad, treatment in Portugal and coverage in case of cancellation or interruption of the trip.
